From what I have read they are top of the line. They are all plastic however, but that may or may not be important to you.
You should use duster gas with them and if you want to use propane you should buy a restrictor for it. Beside that, regular maintence and a little bit of oil and they will last a long time.

You plan on playing?

yeah i plan on playing as soon as possible, i'm only 17 though. I wasen't sure if i should go with plastic or metal, is there a huge difference or is it mostly preference?

weight. But if you have never held a real handgun you won't notice it.

I see, is green gas or HFC 134A more desirable as gas type?
On a side note, would being in the reserves make me eligible to play even though i'm 17?

HFC is the computer duster gas you find at staples and walmart, it is the best for unrestricted WA's. The greengas, as it is known, is nothing more then rebottle propane. It is used for more power, in the case of the WA's you need a little resitrictor. Else it may break the slide or something.

For performance wise. Propane is best, higher pressure, but it stinks as you well know. Duster is less pressure and as such gives lower FPS (feet per second), BUT, you will be able to shoot in doors with out stinking up the place.

The rules state that 18 is the age required and 18 being the age that one must be . This is just for legal reasons. nothing against you or anything.

Actually Tank dude, Knight has Always told me that if your in the CF under the age of 18 he will allow me to play. "if the CF can trust you with a C7, we can trust you with airsoft"

Too bad I decided not to join the reserves this summer :P Just stayed home and worked at the pool.

"only exception is for members of the Canadian Forces or Canadian Reserve. Any member of Canadian forces can play Airsoft regardless of age. However we reserve the right to revoke this privilege if problems arise with an individual."
