Gear Loadout

I have written some suggested guidelines in what to bring to an airsoft game for a skirmish, and a day long mission. Keep in mind these are not set in stone, and a player will learn what works for him/her at a given game. I hope the information below is of some help, and anyone that has suggestions or wants to write up something for a 24-36 hour + operation feel free to do so.

Useful Items and Gear.

What you should ALWAYS bring.
Below is a list of items that should make up the staple of what to bring.
-------------------------------

- Paintball Mask/Goggles (depending on field rules)
- Proper Footwear (comfortable, dry, warm)
- Durable and Suitable clothing (dress for the weather and conditions)
- Water
- A small First Aid Kit
- Ammo (BBs)
- Battery (AEG)
- Spare Fuse (AEG)
- Small Toolkit and/or Multitool
- Glass cleaner and small rag
- Loading rod/Autoloader/Handloader
- Green Gas (Propane) Duster Gas (GBB)
- Sunscreen or Bug Repellant as needed
- Radio and spare batteries

You may not need all these items at every game, but they should at least be on the field.

Airsoft Skirmishes

Below is a list of items for a skirmish.

You won't be on the field for a long period of time for most skirmishes. You will only need the essentials to play, and most of it can be carried in your pockets, or a small harness/bandoleer/vest.
-------------------------------

- Sling/Holster ( Good to have, reduces accidental dropping of your gun and damage)
- BBs/Mags ( Most skirmishes aren't that long, and you can make do with just a few mags or one highcap)
- Harness/LBVs/ect ( Remember, you are only out on the field for a short period of time, you don't need to carry around extra weight, so if you can make do with out a harness/lbv, go for it)
- BDUs ( Not really neccassary, but the pocket space, and durability help, plus different camo patterns can make you harder to find)
- Canteen/Camelbak ( Always keep hydrated, but remember, if you are using a mask, you can't remove it during play)

Day Missions
Below is a list of items for a day long mission.

For games where there is an objective. You will be on the field for the good part of the day, and should keep in mind what is available at the field and what you may need.
-------------------------------

- Sling/Holster
- BBs/Mags (You will be on the field all day, you should bring sufficient ammo and magazines. Try to balance ammo with ability to walk comfortably i.e 4-8 locaps)
- Harness/LBVs/ect ( Most likely you will have to carry more, so it's a good idea to invest in a comfortable piece of gear that will hold what you need.)
- BDUs/Clothing ( Bring an extra set, along with rain gear as well, extra socks)
- Canteens/Camelbak
- Food ( There are no canteens at most fields, so pack enough food to keep you from becoming hungry, and doesn't require any preparation)
- Hat ( A hat to keep the sun off will prevent sunstroke)
- Notpad and Pencil ( Handy for writing down objectives or other useful info)
- Compass and Map/GPS ( If it's a large field you are unfamiliar with, bring these along if you know how yo use them, if you don't, learn)
