2008 schedule is up

Everyone should go visit the calendar and check out the new schedule. Big ticket items to take note of are the 2 or possibly 3 24 hour games this season: July 5th-6th, Aug. 2nd-3rd and possibly Sept. 13th-14th. Please let me know if your team will have issues making these dates as we want to maximize turn out. Also a number of people have requested Saturday be the new game day. If this doesn’t work for you let me know. I have to go with the day that the most people can make it.


Also all events are currently listed as DC events. This is because of some uncertainty concerning Brookfield and the lack of any other venue. There have been new fields proposed by some people but we still need permission and what not before they can be used. Could people update me on the status of these proposed fields... that means you Manny.

Also, if you have access to a good field location please pm me. Only pm me if you have land owner permission and the field meets legal requirements. Also, please no one pm we with a woodlot that you have that we can use (unless it has some damn crazy natural features). People don’t really like driving a long way to play in the woods. We are looking for fields that have some wow factor that will make people want to drive 2-3 hours.

I am bugging my sister to buy a house with lots of land with a large barn . But she might not go for it. :)

There is some more land around Brookfield I can look into.

One place that is really good is the old cadet camp. Picture a valley with a large hill and a stream and a small field in between. Ten min walk from the road with parking. Some recon would be needed to determine road conditions. It is isolated and in the middle of no wheres.

I might have access to some really great open areas with some nifty terrain features... trouble is, it's in Miramichi (a 2 hour drive north of Fredericton).

Might be good for a 24 hour op tho.
